AI Helped Write My Blog Post. Why Doesn’t It Sound Like Me?

You’ve finally decided to give AI a try with a blog post. The draft comes together quickly. It’s clear. It’s organized. It even sounds… good.

And yet.

You read it and think, this is fine. So why doesn’t it feel like something I would say? Nothing is technically wrong. But something is missing. It doesn’t sound like you.

That matters more than it might seem. Your readers don’t just come for information. They come for how you think, how you explain things, how you make sense of what you know.

Before you publish, take a second (or third) look.

Quick Check

  • Does this sound like something I would actually say?
  • Is there anything here that feels generic or vague?
  • Have I included a real example or insight from my own work?
  • Would someone who knows me recognize this as mine?
  • Did I accept the draft too quickly without shaping it?
  • Is there a sentence or two I should rewrite in my own words?

AI can get you started. But it still needs you to finish it.
